Admissions Process

For parents considering September enrollment, we encourage parents to apply by January. We do offer mid-year transfers as space allows. Children must be three years old by June 1, and toilet trained, to be considered for September enrollment.

Visit

We encourage prospective families to visit the school and tour our classrooms and campus.  We offer frequent, adult-only virtual and in-person visitors tours and two Open Houses during the school year.  Please email Chris at admissions@meadowbrookschool.com for more information or click here to register for a tour.

Apply

Applications are available to download here.  We offer year-round enrollment, if space is available, into Early Childhood and Grades 1-6. For Grades 7 and 8, admission is considered only for students transferring from a Waldorf School or Waldorf home school program.

Applicants will be informed if there is a wait pool for a specific program or grade. Once a space opens, applicants in the wait pool move on to the Parent- Teacher Interview.

When multiple applicants are in a wait pool, we consider applicants based on many factors. These include whether the applicant has a sibling currently enrolled at our school, if they are a child of a MWS faculty, staff or alum, if they are coming from another Waldorf School or program, and the current class composition.

If you are in a wait pool, it is important to keep us informed of your continued interest in enrollment at Meadowbrook Waldorf School.

Interview

Once we have received your complete application, including payment and school records, we will reach out to schedule a parent-teacher interview if there is an opening in the class.

Class Visit

Following a parent-teacher interview, children complete a class visit. For Early Childhood children, a short time to play with the children in our Early Childhood program will be arranged. In the grade school, a three or five-day classroom visit is scheduled for the prospective student.

Acceptance

Acceptance is based on Meadowbrook Waldorf School's ability to meet your child's needs as determined through the application and interview process, as well as the availability of spaces in each class. A signed enrollment contract and deposit is due at the time of enrollment.
